Intermodal Structures is led by industry veterans, possessing decades of experience in the building design, construction, acquisition, development and operations processes. Intermodal Structures’ management team provides a level of expertise that ensures its customers’ needs will be fulfilled with the highest levels of professionalism, efficiency, and integrity:

John Diserens

John is a founder of Intermodal Structures responsible for operations.  A native Australian, John has over 30 years of experience in institutional real estate, international finance and growing emerging companies. Prior to his involvement with IMS, John was a senior partner with AMB Property Corporation, a NYSE listed REIT, where he originated the  U.S. Asset Management function which grew to a $4 billion national real estate portfolio.  John initiated the launch of AMB’s International operating business and represented the company on the Board of several major industry groups. John currently serves on several Boards including Australian and U.S. private equity corporations.  In addition, he is a founder and partner of Groundswell LLC, a private equity investment company based in San Francisco.  John is a graduate of Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia, and the Stanford University Graduate School of Business (Advanced Management Program).

Craig Severance

Craig is a founder of Intermodal Structures responsible for sales and marketing.  Craig has over 25 years of experience in real estate acquisitions and financing, and was an early pioneer in utilizing technology to expedite these processes.  Prior to founding Intermodal Structures, Craig co-founded and served as CEO of RealConnected, which developed collaborative, project management software for the commercial real estate industry. Craig also served as a managing director and head of acquisitions at AMB Property Corporation (NYSE: AMB), where his group completed over $3 billion in acquisitions.

Craig holds a BA from Middlebury College and an MBA from Stanford University. In addition, he is a founder and partner of Groundswell LLC, a private equity investment company based in San Francisco. Craig serves on the board of directors of Sequoia Mortgage Finance Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Redwood Trust, Inc. and was a founding board member of The Bay School in San Francisco.

Reed Walker

Reed is responsible for product development. Reed has over 30 years of experience as a general contractor and project manager specializing in Modular Manufacturing. As a pioneer in the new modern modular pre-fab construction industry, he cofounded M4 Structures, a factory based producer of homes and schools, proving that new techniques offer a more efficient and faster alternative to site-built construction. Prior to founding M4 Structures, he worked with Modtech Holdings to launch and grow their new modular residential group, selling to companies such as Michelle Kaufman Designs and LivingHomes. He built two of the modern modular industry’s most acclaimed projects: a LivingHome by Ray Kappe (Wired Magazine’s Home of the Year) and a LivingHome by Kerian Timberlake (Builder Magazine’s International Builder’s Show Home in the Las Vegas convention center).
